Well, I am following in my big brother's footsteps, just like I always did when we were little. Apparently, when you start having kids, you MUST start a blog. So, here it is! Seeing as we live in the middle of Iowa, with our closest family a good 3 hours away, a blog seemed like a good way to keep everyone updated on our life (and, more importantly the life and adventures of our new little boy-- due to be born February 12, 2010!). However, if Baby Boy Wissink (or Robert Adam, as my dad likes to call him. Don't worry, though, we'll break the news on the day of his birth that his name is NOT in fact Robert Adam) would like to arrive sooner than the 12th, there would be no complaining from me. And if the little one decides to stay in his warm uterine home longer than the 12th, we will have an induction set for the following week. So that means that FOR SURE by February 19th we'll have our baby!!! Now seemed like as good a time as any to get this blog started, especially since I was bored and really do not care if the Saints or the Colts win the Super Bowl. And honestly, I don't even really care that much about the commercials either. So, check back-- hopefully we'll be updating soon about the birth of Baby Boy Wissink! Oh, and since I do not have any cute baby pictures YET to post, I will leave you with a view of our nursery, and also a picture of Baby Wissink's big sister, Molly. :)

Cute nursery! Can't wait for news about your little guy's arrival. I'm sure your blog will be very entertaining to read! :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy to see your blog!! I'm looking forward to keeping up with little Robert Adam on here. Oh, and regarding the Super Bowl, I thought you and Molly might be tuned in to the Puppy Bowl instead. :)
ReplyDeleteHey Rachel.
ReplyDeleteHow fun a blog! I'll have to check in often. This background and set up look like your style. Very well done! Can't wait to hear about Mr. Wissink's big arrival!!
I will try again to send a comment and see if it works this time.

ReplyDeleteTake care of yourself.

A blog -- love it!! The nursery looks fantastic, but I'm not so sure Molly looks ready to give up her status as treasured baby..... ;0]
ReplyDeleteI'm so eager and excited for you guys, and then sad that I don't know when I'll ever get to meet this little guy for the first time. So, you MUST tell me when you're going to be in/near GR and then please please please bring him over to show off!
