Busy Day!

Jeremiah had quite a busy day today! First of all, he decided that he needed to do some crawling this morning. This is the first time he's actually gone anywhere with his crawling-- before he would just move a step forward and then throw himself to the ground. His main mode of getting around was rolling! Not anymore, folks! He's officially a crawler! Here are some pics of the action (we have no video camera!)... but you can see that the blurry parts are because he's moving.

A newly shorn Molly was trying to get Jeremiah to follow her to the backyard.

He's so excited, and he just can't hide it!

It was the perfect fall day today, so we headed downtown to the Des Moines Farmer's Market with my friend Celeste and her baby boy Tristan. We walked around all the stands and got some coffee at Java Joe's. Then we decided to get some lunch at Baby Boomer's. Now, I don't agree with President Obama about much, but I DO agree with him that the chocolate chip cookies there are heavenly (it was big news when he was in Des Moines that he had to go there and get cookies for his family)!!!

Then, Celeste wanted to practice her photography skills, so we headed up to the State Capital Building to get some pictures of the baby boys. Some of them turned out really well!!!

Some of them.... not so much.

Jeremiah needed a nice long nap after his busy day!

One a different note... Jeremiah has started making a "fishy face" for some reason. We thinks it's pretty funny!

  1. We were at the farmers market today too! Must have missed ya. We were on a hunt for pumpkins...daddy pumpkin, mommy pumpkin and Ruby pumpkin :) Love the pics by Celeste! Those two boys are so darn cute! Now Jeremiah can really chase after Ruby with his new skills!

  2. Way to go, Jeremiah!! And the "fishy face" kind of reminds me of his Uncle Ben's "fish lips." I think he was a little older when he started that, though.
