Fall Fun! 🍁

Okay, well this is just ridiculous! Christmas is like tomorrow and I haven’t caught up on our fall activities yet! 🀦🏼‍♀️ (Ok, Christmas isn’t technically tomorrow but we are doing Wiers Christmas next week over Thanksgiving, so almost!).

So, where to begin? Here’s a “brief” overview. 😬
In early September Jeremiah received his very own Bible at church (our church gives Bibles to 3rd graders). He was pretty excited about it! First thing he looked up in his Bible? The book of Jeremiah, of course. 😊

My memory fails me now, but I believe Adam was on a work trip at this time. Canada, maybe? Or Texas again? 🀷🏼‍♀️ Probably a good thing I don’t remember, that means we survived. When he got back we took a day trip to Chicago to get a car from Abby and Neil, and Grandpa and Grandma came for the day, too. Always fun to spend a day in Chicago!

Jeremiah played another season of soccer, and Hope played her very first season of soccer!  ⚽️ So fun to watch both of them play. The little kids are hysterical to watch! 🀣

Don’t let the nice weather fool you, it didn’t last. But we persevered!

Oh and let us not forget how NOT fun it is to chase this one around at soccer. πŸ˜‘ She never stops!

Hope and Norah get a lot of good sister time (whether it’s wanted or not πŸ˜†) while J is at school!

I would say that Norah has spent about 95% of her time this fall reading books.
Seriously, Mom. Stop with the book pictures.

The other 5% of the time she’s just being cute!

J and H won a Halloween coloring contest at Payless Shoe Store!

School picture time!
He looks so old!!! 😭

October is a BIG month because it is Hope’s birthday month! On the 20th Grandpa and Grandma Wiers came for the day to celebrate.
She got her very own hair stylist outfit and tools! They get LOTS of use!! πŸ’‡πŸΌ‍♀️

See?

Hope’s actual birthday is October 24, and she turned 4! Can’t believe it! Our crazy-haired baby is 4!

She picked out her very own My Little Pony cake πŸ¦„πŸ€—

Hope has grown up SO much, I just can’t believe it. At the beginning of the summer she was still in diapers and sleeping in a crib! 😳 Now here she is- done with diapers, no more crib, good-bye naps (😒). She’s officially a big girl! She brings our family so much joy! We love you, Hope!

Once the birthday festivities are done, it’s on to Halloween!  πŸŽƒπŸ‘» We went to the good old WalMart pumpkin patch this year. I highly recommend- cheap and easy, and nice pumpkins, too! πŸ‘πŸ»

Pumpkin carving is Adam’s department. 😬 Hope didn’t want much to do with the carving process, but J did a lot of the work on his!

They turned out great! πŸŽƒ

As usual for Halloween we did a few different Trunk or Treat activities, the weekend before Halloween and also on the actual day. We still have plenty of candy! 🍫🍭🍬

Trick or Treating in downtown Clinton. She had no idea what was going on, but was SUPER happy to be along for the ride! 😊

Trick or Treating in Fulton on Halloween- “Shine” from Shimmer and Shine 🧞‍♀️, a National Guard soldier πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ, and of course, the chubby-cheeked penguin driving a car. 🐧

The first weekend in November we actually moved! You read that right- we moved across the river to Fulton, IL where our church and Jeremiah’s school are located (and Adam works in IL, too). We’re no longer Iowans! 😳 It’s crazy! We weren’t necessarily looking to uproot and move AGAIN for the 4th time in about 4 years, it just turned out that our situation in Iowa was not a good one for our family so we did what we needed to do. And we are in a much better situation now, enjoying life in the country!
Not too shabby, right? Of course now it’s winter, but still so pretty out here!

Adam took a weeklong work trip to Louisiana right after we moved in, and is now back home (for a good long while, hopefully! 😬).

November 9 was Grandparents Day at Jeremiah’s school, and he was lucky enough to have both sets of grandparents at school with him! Of course I have no pictures.

And now here we are, the tree is up and we’re looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas! Can’t wait to spend a long weekend with my family (and SO thankful that Adam now has a job that makes that possible!).

A lot has happened in the last year, some good and some bad, but through it all we have so much to be thankful for! πŸ‚πŸ
