This is Jeremiah on the way to Sioux City. That blue thing is a pacifier attachment thing shaped like a penguin, by the way.

Jeremiah got to enjoy his very first coffee time with the girls! I met my good friends Stephanie Dykshorn and Natasha Hooyer (and her kids Lucas and Samantha) for coffee and chatting on Saturday morning. Notice Lucas-- he's doing the old "I'll take a picture of you while you're taking a picture of me." Funny guy! Jeremiah listened intently to all of the chatting and coffee drinking.

Actually, this is what he did pretty much the entire time, which made his mommy quite happy!

Jeremiah finally got to meet his older cousins Kyan and Kobe! Kyan loves Jeremiah and has been eager to meet him since Jeremiah was born! So he was very excited to hold and spend time with him. He even introduced himself to Jeremiah by saying, "Hi, I'm Kyan John Brunsting!" Jeremiah also enjoyed lots of cuddle time with Grandma Wissink and Aunt Rachel (sorry, no pics! Must remember the camera next time!).

And here's the little man ready for church on Easter Sunday morning. Don't let his cuteness or the content look on his face fool you-- he cried for a long time outside of the sanctuary before he finally fell asleep! It is becoming clear that Jeremiah loves the opening singing and worship during church, but sermons obviously bore him.
Last week Jeremiah visited school with me. He was one popular guy, that's for sure! He was pretty well-behaved, too. The kids in my class LOVED getting to see him in person and had lots of questions about him (What does Jeremiah like to do? Why does Jeremiah keep staring at the ceiling fan? What's Jeremiah's favorite TV show? etc, etc, etc). It looks like the school and my class are surviving quite well without me... so I will continue to enjoy my maternity leave! Only 5 weeks left! :(
Glad you had a nice week-end. I thought about calling you guys last night, but then remembered the time change. Didn't think you'd appreciate a call at 11:30.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, that was Mom. Don't know why it didn't come up that way. Maybe because I'm on Matt's computer?
