2 Months Old!!!

Our little fella turned 2 months old last Thursday! WOW. Today we had Jeremiah's 2 month check-up at the doctor's office. Apparently we have quite the over-achiever when it comes to eating (that's a nice way of saying that Jeremiah is big!). He weighed in at 13 lbs 6 oz, and he is now 24 and 1/4 inches long, which puts him in the 90th percentile for both height and weight! Oh, and he's in the 75th percentile for head circumference... but I'm not even really sure what that means. Anyway, maybe Adam will get lucky and he'll get the tall stocky son he's always wanted! Adam already has dreams of Jeremiah being a lineman for the Hawkeyes... and then probably the Bears. Here's a picture of our 2 month old little man:

Rough day at the office. :)

Of course, along with the 2 month check-up comes the shots. I was not looking forward to this-- who likes to see their baby cry???? However, I didn't think I'd cry. But I did. That's right, people-- I cried! I never used to be a crier! But apparently going through pregnancy and having a child turns you into a crier! Yeah. Jeremiah was a champ, though. The oral vaccine they gave him must have tasted good because he sucked that down quickly (the nurse was quite impressed... we weren't surprised. See the part above about Jeremiah being an over-achiever when it comes to eating!). Of course, he screamed when they gave him the shots, but he calmed down pretty quickly once I picked him up and cuddled him. And then by the time we left the doctor's office he looked like this:

"Feel sorry for me-- I have 3 Snoopy band-aids on my legs."

Of course, once we got home and he ate, he was his happy self again, and we're hoping that this continues the rest of the day! I have tried to catch Jeremiah's smiles on film so often, but he's quick!
