Goodbye June

Sigh.  The summer is flying by, just as it always does! :(  Makes me so sad.  Once July arrives, it seems like school is already right around the corner.  We finished up June with lots of fun and some family in town!

Last weekend Adam's family came to town for a weekend of fun!  We went to the Science Center of Iowa last Saturday, since it was a bit rainy and cool (what was that like?  I can't even remember-- all we have now is HOT and humid!).  Anyway, Jeremiah and his cousins had a blast playing and exploring!
Look!  Jeremiah's on TV!
Jeremiah and Mommy made a rocket (it actually flew-- I was pretty proud of myself).

Learning about the solar system with Grandpa!

This past week I took a class (Plants in Society 2: Biorenewables Workshop.  Yep, I'm smart), so Jeremiah spent a couple days with his buddies at daycare, and then Grandma and Grandpa Wiers came to spend the rest of the week with him!  Unfortunately, the weather was SUPER hot and being outside was pretty miserable at any time of day.  They managed to walk to the park, play in the pool, and walk around the block, but otherwise the days were spent in the AC!
Jeremiah's new pose for pictures.... not sure how I feel about it.

J is great about saying "cheese!" for pictures.  Mommy is good at always taking the pic when he is saying "ch" instead of "eese."

This weekend Adam's mom's side of the family came out this way to camp at Jester Park.  Jeremiah LOVED going to see them at the campground!  He got to play outside, play with his cousins, play in the dirt..... he was in heaven! :)
This is the face of a very sweaty, dirty, happy boy.

Quality time with the cousins!

And now it's July.  I'm happy that both my classes for the summer are done, so Jeremiah and I can get back to our nice, relaxing summer routine which consists of "sleeping in" until 7, relaxing in jammies, hitting the pool, splash park, or library, and heading home for lunch and a nap.  And I'm hoping the month of July will go much slower than June did!  Wishful thinking, I know.  I just love spending my days in the warm weather with my favorite little guy!
