So, thankfully, Jeremiah has been much less fussy today and more like himself, so we think he has turned the corner. Yesterday when he was really feeling yucky, all he wanted to do was be held or chill out in his swing. So he did some of this...
And more of this...
Poor baby! This afternoon he was acting MUCH more like himself, so he was able to enjoy some time outside while we grilled. Jeremiah LOVES to be outside!
Oh, and Molly was there, too.
On a different note, we got our daycare figured out for the fall. We found a wonderful, Christian woman (who lives 2.6 miles away from us!) who runs a very small in-home daycare. We met with her on Saturday and were just super impressed by her, and we feel very blessed to have gotten a spot in her daycare! If it can't be me who stays home and cares for Jeremiah, then this is the next best thing. And I am *TRYING* to be okay with this situation. I wanted it to be me! I want to stay home with Jeremiah more than anything in the world... but we have figured out that right now, that is just not possible for us. Hopefully, maybe, down the road, when we have a few more kiddies, we will be able to work it out. But for now, I am trying to be okay with the fact that I am going to have to go back to work in the fall. And I am going to soak up every second that I have with Jeremiah this summer! I mean-- look at that face! Who wouldn't want to spend their days with this guy?
So, what will I be doing in the fall? I have no idea. Contracts have STILL not been given out at my current school, so that is still a possibility. But I have an interview on Thursday for a Kindergarten position at a school that is about 5 minutes from our house, so I am REALLY hoping and praying that it works out. Being just 5 minutes from home would be SO much nicer than driving 40 minutes in the morning and 40 minutes in the afternoon. So, we'll see!
Next weekend we are off to Milwaukee to see Grandma and Grandpa Wiers, and then on Saturday we'll be heading to Chicago for the day. My very first class of 1st Graders is graduating from 8th grade! So we are going to visit my old school and will get to see the graduation! It makes me feel extremely old, by the way, that these kids are graduating from 8th grade already. Where does the time go? Anyway, hopefully I'll have lots of fun pictures to share from our trip!
So good to see an update on your blog-sorry to hear Jeremiah has a cold-hope it clears up soon. We will be leaving for Michigan Friday morning but your Mom said maybe it will work out for us to see you folks for a short visit before we leave that morning. Hope that works out.I am eager to meet your little guy. Aunt JoAnne
