Labor Day Weekend

Grandpa and Grandma Wiers came for a visit this weekend! We had not seen them since late July, and they were surprised at how big Jeremiah has gotten since then! :) They arrived late Friday night, after Jeremiah was in bed. But they were up bright and early Saturday morning to greet their favorite grandson!

We spent the morning playing with Jeremiah and watching the first half of the Hawkeyes game. Then we went out for lunch to Z'Mariks Noodle Cafe. It's my kind of place-- I had the mac & cheese!

Grandma fed Jeremiah his lunch. She tried to pause between bites, to help Jeremiah learn patience. Apparently this is becoming an issue at daycare. Jeremiah wants his food, and he wants it NOW!


Adam grilled burgers and brats on Saturday night for dinner-- it was the perfect evening!

Sunday morning started off like EVERY Sunday morning should-- with Dad's pancakes! My siblings should appreciate this classic Dad picture:


We went to church and then had lunch at Olive Garden (another place that I love!). Later in the afternoon we took a walk to the park that is just up the street from our house. I am thinking that we will be visiting this park often-- Jeremiah loved it! He tried out the swings...

Grandma enjoyed reading Jeremiah his books before bed!


Unfortunately, Molly had to be banished to the basement for awhile because of her annoying barking.


Monday morning we went to Panera (yet another one of my favorite places!) for a late breakfast.

And after breakfast it was time for Grandpa and Grandma to head home. :( The weekend went by much too fast-- we miss you already Grandpa and Grandma!!!
