Today was so wonderful! We had our precious Hope Caroline baptized, and we also were publicly welcomed as members of our new church! We feel so blessed to have found Calvary on 8th Street (not to be confused with all the other Calvary's around here!). It is such a welcoming church, and we are excited to get involved there! Finding a church home definitely helps to make Holland, MI start to feel more like home.

Hope really did well during the church service and baptism, except for when Pastor Dan took her and did the actual baptism. She had a moment of realization that the guy holding her was NOT Daddy, and she was not a fan of that. :) After the baptism she fell asleep and slept through the rest of the service!

We were blessed to have both sets of grandparents here for the baptism as well!

Unfortunately the weather kind of messed things up a bit. Uncle Lew and Aunt JoAnne were in town and going to come from Hudsonville to the baptism, as well as my friend Lynne and her family from GR. But the blizzard-like conditions weren't ideal for driving. Also, Adam's parents hit the road for Iowa right after church because of the yucky weather. Such is life in the mid-west in the winter I guess, right?
But we still had a nice lunch and cake back at our house afterwards.

One nice thing about the crappy weather is that my parents decided to stay an extra day to wait for better travel conditions. So we got to hang out with them some more tonight- J had a great time in their hotel pool and then we got appetizers from BWW and watched the first half of the Super Bowl. Nice to spend some extra time with them!

Hope got her first taste of swimming! She was not so sure about it!

And a few more pics from the last few weeks!
Hope is now 3.5 months old. What!?!? :(

In mid-January we watched the Calvin/Hope basketball game at BWW in Holland. And Calvin won!

A wonderful day indeed! And the snowstorm gave us some nice bonus time! :)
