Wednesday we hit Hollywood Studios, and I was SO excited for Jeremiah to meet Mater and Lightning McQueen from "Cars." So fun!
When we got there, we actually headed straight for "Toy Story Midway Mania" because I heard that this was one of the best attractions there! AND, the line gets long quickly.... so we got there about 9:30, the line was already 45 minutes long, and the soonest Fast Pass time we could get was 2:35. Yikes. So, we decided to grab the Fast Passes, and hit the ride on our way out at the end of the afternoon, which I think was a good choice! By the time we got on it in the afternoon with our Fast Passes, the line was 90 minutes long-- sheesh!
So, after grabbing our fast passes, we were in search of McQueen and Mater. We walked by the "Studio Backlot Tour," and since there was like no wait, we decided to do that. Jeremiah loves a good tram ride, so he was excited to do it! It started with a little show that demonstrated how they do some of the special effects in movies, which was pretty cool.

The Mickey water tower.
Yikes! Water came pouring down on us while we were on the shaking bridge!
Another crashed truck.
Jeremiah thought it was so cool to see the real Mater and McQueen!! He walked around them and closely inspected them. :)
After that, we went over to the "Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set Adventure." Very cool, if you grew up watching that movie-- but also very cool if you haven't seen the movie! It was basically a big play area where everything was HUGE!

Jeremiah and Jake from "Jake and the Neverland Pirates"!!
After lunch, we went to "The Magic of Disney Animation." It was a short video that talked about how they make Disney animated characters come to life! Very interesting, even J thought it was funny, and a nice place to cool off! :)
Then it was time to get in line for a show I KNEW J would just love-- "Disney Jr. LIVE on Stage!" It included characters from all of Jeremiah's favorite shows, so I was so happy we were able to see it.
Wide eyes the whole time!
It was basically like an episode of "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse" and also included Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Doc McStuffins, and Sofia the First. Very cute!
Then finally it was time to head back to "Toy Story" for our Fast Pass time (oh, we had to stop for frozen lemonade first!). What a fun ride! You wear these cool 3D glasses and have to shoot at different things-- even J could do it (his score was not all that much lower than mine-- sheesh).
And that was the end of our time at Hollywood Studios-- definitely time for a nap for the little guy! Remember that J had a fever also? He had some Motrin twice during the day, and did very well with that. But, when it wore off, the fever was back along with lethargy, not wanting to eat, etc. So after J woke up from his (late) nap, his fever was 102.3 and he basically just wanted to lay around. :( We went down to the restaurant at our resort and met up with Adam's family for dinner.... and as J was sitting there not wanting to eat, we just knew we needed to get him checked out (especially before heading home!).
So, we inquired at the front desk and were told there was an Urgent Care that was open until midnight and they even offered free transportation for people at Disney's resorts. Perfect-- sounds great, right?
Well, not so much. Adam called and we were told they would be there in 20 minutes to get us. 45 minutes later, there we sat with our little guy still burning up. That should have been our first clue that this place would be a joke! We got a hold of one of Adam's friends who was also there for the Pizza Ranch meetings, and he had a van that he let us borrow-- phew! That was a HUGE help! SO we finally arrived at the Urgent Care about 9 pm and were told right away that we would have a 2-3 hour wait (!!!!!). They called J back right away and gave him more Motrin ("So he's not sitting out in the waiting room burning up," said the nurse) and sent us back to the waiting room to wait..... and wait...... and wait...... it was SO ridiculous! Midnight came and went.... people who got there AFTER us went in to be seen and came back out...... finally about 12:15 am Jeremiah fell asleep on my lap. After handing him off to Adam, I NICELY got up and asked how much longer we'd be waiting (they were supposed to close at midnight, remember? Thought maybe we'd be seen by midnight then? Silly me.) The receptionist told me she thought there were still 2 people in front of us (interesting.... there did not seem to be any "order" or rhyme or reason to when people were called back). There were only 2 other people left in the waiting room (one of which came in AFTER us)! This is when "Nice Rachel" left and "Crabby Rachel" arrived. I asked how many doctors worked there and she said, "One." WHAT?!?!?! How does that constitute an Urgent Care???? And just because you pumped my son full of Motrin means we get to be seen last?!?!?!? Oh my. She then told me she was mistaken, there was only 1 person ahead of us. Fabulous.
Finally about 1 am we were taken back to see the "Doctor." I don't know where the heck this guy went to school, but holy cow. He had a horrible bedside manor and an even MORE horrible rapport with children! He walked in and started firing questions at J-- "Do you have a headache? Does it hurt when you pee? Do you have a sore throat?" J, who had just woken up after sleeping for an hour in our arms, was like, "Huh?" Adam and I had to translate into 3-year-old words "Does your head hurt? Does it hurt when you have to go potty? Does your throat hurt?" Finally, the doctor decided to do a strep test. So he did that, and left the room-- no mention of if or WHEN he might possibly return with the results. So finally, after about 20 minutes (oh, by the way, both Adam's phone and my phone had died earlier in the evening, and there was not a clock to be found in this place.... we had to guage time by the different episodes on Disney Jr. we watched in the waiting room AND the examining room...... yes, TV's in the examining room, seriously) I peeked out of our room to see if anyone was still there (normally, I would not do that, but remember, "Nice Rachel" left a long time ago. And I knew it was about 20 minutes, because it was almost one whole episode of "Chuggington."). There was the Dr. sitting at his computer across the hall-- he said, "Oh, yeah, I was just coming in with the results." RIGHT.

I totally thought this was going to be my last Disney World post, but the whole Urgent Care thing went longer than I anticipated.... so stay tuned for one more about Animal Kingdom!

If you have the name of the Urgent Care, I think you should definitely write them a letter and complain! That is absolutely ridiculous!! Or if they have a website do a review online, so that other people can be forewarned!
