6 months old!

I really can't believe how fast the past 6 months have gone. Was it really 6 months ago that we were coming home from the hospital with our brand new baby boy (and a horrible spinal headache)? I am just amazed. And I have heard so many people say how quickly the time goes... but WOW. I didn't know it would go THIS fast! Just for fun let's take a look back at 6 months ago (I think I might cry)...

One of Jeremiah's first baths... obviously not much of a fan (but look how cute and LITTLE he was!). Fast forward (literally) 6 months, and this is what we have:

Still pretty darn cute and LOVING the bath... just not so little anymore! We don't know any of Jeremiah's 6 month stats yet, because we don't have is appointment until August 31 (that's because mommy wants to be there and mommy's school does not allow her to be absent the first 8 days of school.... so the appointment is scheduled for the 9th day of school). :)

Jeremiah is really trying to move now. He no longer stays on his blanket when we lay him on the floor... he pretty much just laughs at us when we put him there. He rolls all over the place and tries to get on his knees and scoot (and he does actually move... but not too far yet). The Exersaucer that we got on Craigslist is still a hit with Jeremiah. The base of it can be taken off and it turns into a "walker" of sorts. We tried him out in it last night on the kitchen floor and he actually got it to move (again, not too far, though). This morning I put him in it again and he wound up here:

He thinks he's pretty big stuff! :) He thought it was pretty fun down there under the table, too-- he stayed under there happily for like 30 minutes.

In other news, Jeremiah is going to his very first baseball game tonight! The Iowa Cubs Vs. The Nashville Sounds (who I am told are the minor league team for the Milwaukee Brewers). Adam's work gives the employees 2 options for a summer outing-- a day at Adventureland or going to an I-Cubs game. We thought the baseball game would be the most baby-friendly, but I am sure Adventureland will be more fun in a few years. Anyway, Jeremiah is pretty excited about it! Thanks to my cousin Karen for the Cubs outfit! :)

  2. Josie is smiling at Jer's pictures. I like the changes to your blog, too.

PS. I thought the minor league Cubs were playing at Wrigley this year....

  3. Hey, does Jeremiah have a new bathtub? It looks like he's loving it! He must have said, "Josie has one, I need one too!" I remember that first bath---and he definitely was not a fan!

  4. Yeah, we got the ducky bathtub as a hand-me-down from Adam's sister. He does really like it! But I'm not sure how much longer he's going to fit in it! :)
