First, he started off the morning with a nice poop (sorry, no pictures).
He practiced sitting up! He is getting better and more steady every day!
He took a nap. This must have been 1 minute out of his 30 minute nap. He was an extremely tired baby when we left... by the time we pulled out of their neighborhood he was fast asleep in his carseat. It was a busy day!
He played with new and exciting toys!
This Exersaucer is WAY cooler than the one we have at home!
"Hey lady... give me some food."
And after he ate his rice cereal, he proceeded to down a whole 4 ounce bottle. I will not go into the struggles we have been having with the bottle! He has been refusing it for the past 2 weeks at home for both me and Adam! Apparently it takes a strange lady and a strange house, and all of the sudden the bottle doesn't seem so bad. Interesting.
So, overall, it was a good day. I was busy at school getting my classroom organized, so I was able to keep my mind occupied (instead of dwelling on the fact that I just left my baby at daycare...). Tomorrow we'll do it all over again, hopefully with less crying from mommy.
Jeremiah is growing up W-A-A-A-Y too fast!! He looks so much older than when we saw him last month. Maybe it's the whole day care thing that has "matured" him. Tell him to slow down a little til Grandma and Grrandpa can get to see him again! :)
ReplyDeleteHappy to here you made it through the first day of being away from your baby.I'm sure it will get easier every day. How nice to have pictures of his first day. Heard about the floods in your area on the Weather Channel.Hope your house is staying dry. Aunt JoAnne
ReplyDeleteHurray!! Sounds like a great daycare you have, what a great idea to take pictures for you. The crying will get less & less over time, I promise.
ReplyDeleteAnd, random funny - Jordan was wearing that very same outfit yesterday! :0]
Yay for you!! You made it!! Here's to hoping that the next few days get easier and easier. Love you!
ReplyDeleteI just took a closer look at that picture with the exer-saucer. Is that the kind where the seat moves around the outside of the toy part? Looks like lots of fun, whatever it is. Way more fun than the basic one we have at KinderCare (that they keep threatening to take away!!)
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhh- you are doing it!! Looks like a nice house and a loving caregiver!!! He will love having buddies to play with! Good to start before school starts:) He looks so happy and healthy!
