Jeremiah's first day at daycare

Well, we did it. We (I) actually survived Jeremiah's first day at daycare! It was a rough morning... there was lots of crying! But that was just me-- Jeremiah was a champ! :) He did have a moment of apprehension when we first arrived, but he got over that pretty quickly, and he didn't cry when I handed him off (which was a good thing, because it was about the hardest thing I've ever had to do!). We are very blessed to have a wonderful Christian woman, Michelle, watching Jeremiah in her home (along with her own baby boy, a week older than Jeremiah, and 2 pre-school kids). She was completely understanding of my tears, which was nice. :) She took some pictures of how Jeremiah spent his day:

First, he started off the morning with a nice poop (sorry, no pictures).

He practiced sitting up! He is getting better and more steady every day!


He took a nap. This must have been 1 minute out of his 30 minute nap. He was an extremely tired baby when we left... by the time we pulled out of their neighborhood he was fast asleep in his carseat. It was a busy day!

And after he ate his rice cereal, he proceeded to down a whole 4 ounce bottle. I will not go into the struggles we have been having with the bottle! He has been refusing it for the past 2 weeks at home for both me and Adam! Apparently it takes a strange lady and a strange house, and all of the sudden the bottle doesn't seem so bad. Interesting.

So, overall, it was a good day. I was busy at school getting my classroom organized, so I was able to keep my mind occupied (instead of dwelling on the fact that I just left my baby at daycare...). Tomorrow we'll do it all over again, hopefully with less crying from mommy.
